PASCO, Wash. – Washington students are just getting toward the end of the school year. But school districts are already looking ahead to the fall.
On Tuesday, May 14th ESD 123 held a preschool round-up event for families interested in enrolling a child in the early child education and assistance program. It provides preschool and hearing and vision services for children who are between three and five years old. The program administrator says enrolling is a lengthy process and can be a lot. That's why they hosted the event to try and help parents through that process.
“This will help families get the assistance that they need. But also it will help them know right away if their application is accepted to go on the waitlist or not. So they'll be able to sign their application right on the spot and be finished with that process,” ECEAP Administrator, Tammy Buckingham, said.
If someone who wanted to attend was unable to attend Tuesday’s event and would like to enroll their child they will be having an event just like Tuesday, on Thursday, May 16th from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the ESD 123 building in Pasco.
