PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop.

According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at the intersection of Marrtown Road and Dupont Road, where Deputy Turner observed a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse without a motor vehicle inspection sticker.

The driver, identified as Robert D. Pennell III, 32, of Racine, was pulled over for the violation.

During the stop, deputies requested assistance from the Parkersburg Police Department.

An officer and a K-9 unit arrived promptly at the scene.

The K-9 alerted officers to the presence of contraband in the vehicle, prompting a thorough search.
