HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Temperatures this morning started off in the 50s and 60s, not too bad for any time of year (unless you’re still pining for some snow). Given a hazy mix of clouds and sunshine, we’ll still be crossing the 70s at midday, landing in the low to mid 80s this afternoon. The heat of the day will spark some isolated showers and storms, mainly along and east of I-77 and in the mountains. It will be a hot day out on the track oval and baseball diamond. Though severe weather is always a possibility on these kinds of warm humid days, it is expected that most if not all of the isolated showers will stay on the ordinary side. After some initial improvement around/after sunset, expect new clouds to move in overnight, leading to another round of showers and storms to track tomorrow.
