Aeronautics Students from Throughout Region Have Fun on Launch Day at Bridgeport City Park
The summer aeronautics class at the Benedum Civic Center wrapped up on Thursday with a trip to the Bridgeport City Park for launch day. As many as 15 middle school and high school students from Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Nutter Fort, Morgantown, Fairmont, Jane Lew and Belington have spent the past several weeks learning about and building rockets and free flight airplanes.
United Way Fundraiser Proves a Hit as Event Raises More than $23,000 at Bridgeport Country Club
The United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties first-ever Birdie Bash Marathon Fundraiser event at the Bridgeport Country Club proved to be a hit. According to Brad Riffee, the executive director of the local United Way, more than $23,000 was raised in the unique event. The fundraiser took place Tuesday, July 23, beginning at 10 a.m. and lasting until 8 p.m.

Clarksburg to host National Night Out with music, food & free entry to Splash Zone
