Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest four-star interior offensive lineman Brock Heath holds offers from 15 schools. Iowa , Kansas , Kansas State , Michigan State , Nebraska and Northwestern are some programs that already have the attention of the 6-foot-5, 258-pound recruit.

Heath has already locked in official visits to Northwestern (May 10-12) and Kansas State (June 14-16). He plans to take more officials in May and June ahead of ideally announcing his commitment before July.

“I am going to take my time and evaluate everything,” Health told On3. “I am being careful with my decision because it is about the next four or five years of my life. There’s the transfer portal, but I don’t plan on hitting the portal.”

Heath is looking closely at his connections at multiple schools, as well as the stability of those programs’ coaching staffs. The No. 7 player in Kansas has family connections at Kansas and Nebraska, as his brother – Tyler Lawrence – played quarterback for the Jayhawks between 2006-08 and another brother, Blake Lawrence , was a starting linebacker for the Cornhuskers from 2007-09.

So far, Heath has visited Kansas State and Nebraska three times each. He has also been to Iowa and Michigan State once apiece.

“Iowa, K-State and Kansas, who just signed Lance Leipold to a huge deal, those places are stable,” said Heath, the No. 287 overall prospect and No. 20 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 On300 . “That’s something you want to look at because in today’s world, you never know what’s going to happen. I feel like at my core, I’m a relationships person. Having that trust and knowledge that a coach is going to be with me for an extended period of time and I’m going to enjoy it with him, that’s big for me.”

Heath discusses four programs pushing hard for him

Iowa : “I went there for a spring practice. I saw my boy Gavin Hoffman , who’s an early enrollee there. He was our big tight end last year. It was good to connect with him. I had a good talk with coach George Barnett , their o-line coach. It was my first time meeting him and then, I talked with coach Kirk Ferentz for an hour or two. That was cool because he’s the king of Iowa City. Everyone looks up to him and Caitlin Clark .”

Kansas State : “I feel like I’ve connected with coach Conor Riley the most out of any position coach. He gives off father figures vibes. That’s a guy that’d I’d be willing to go to war for for the next four or five years. That’s been the biggest part of my interest in Kansas State and then, they’re succeeding right now. They won a bowl game and won the Big 12 last year. They’re doing well for themselves.”

Michigan State : “They just brought in a whole new coaching staff. My visit there this month was my first time meeting everyone and coach Jim Michalczik . Coach Brian Wozniak , their tight ends coach, my family has known him for years. He recruited my brother at Oregon State when he was there, so I know people there and it was cool to see him because he was very close to my family. Coach Michalczik, he’s a solid guy. He just put out a first rounder from Oregon State.”

Nebraska : “My brother went there. Everyone in that state wants Nebraska to succeed. They have been struggling for 10 or so years and now, they’re getting good. It’s about the backing from that state and the city of Lincoln. I think that’s really special. You don’t see that at a lot of places.”
