Fishers (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern offensive lineman Cameron Gorin has a few college football programs catching his eye heading into the summer.

“Right now my top schools are probably I have like four right now,” Gorin said. “Louisville, Purdue, Minnesota and Vanderbilt.”

Official visits are on the calendar for the 6-foot-5, 265-pound Gorin as well. He’ll get back to Louisville on May 31, then hit Purdue the following weekend and Minnesota the weekend after that.

Gorin has been to Louisville several times.

“I like Coach (Jeff) Brohm a lot,” Gorin said. “Coach (Richard) Owens I like him a lot too. I had a training parter that went there too. Sounds like a good place.”

From what Gorin has seen he agrees.

“Just the culture,” he said. “The practices are high intensity and I like the facilities a lot.”

Gorin has been to Purdue countless times. His father Brandon played for the Boilermakers before a nine-year career in the NFL which included two Super Bowl wins.

“I love the coaches at Purdue,” Gorin said. “Obviously my dad went there. I have connections there. Coach (Marcus) Johnson is a good dude. I like him a lot. We’re always in contact.”

Purdue had several coaches including Johnson at Hamilton Southeastern last week to watch Gorin workout. Head coach Ryan Walters has also made an impression during past visits.

“I think just the way Coach Walters is bringing in a whole new staff and everything I think they can be something special in a couple years,” Gorin said.

Minnesota has made Gorin a priority. His official will be his first time on campus.

“I like the (offensive line) coach, Coach (Brian) Callahan a lot,” Gorin said. “PJ Fleck came to the school and I met him. Seems like a down-to-earth dude. Like him and Coach Callahan is always keeping in contact.

Gorin is excited to learn more about Vanderbilt.

“I’ve heard a lot of about them,” Gorin said. “I haven’t been down. I heard a lot of good things about them from either recruits or on twitter or all over the place. I like the coaches a lot and they seem good.”
