At least one injured in shooting near Southern Dallas park, police say
DALLAS — A man was injured in a shooting Thursday afternoon near a park in Southern Dallas, the Dallas Police Department said. Officers responded to a report of a shooting just after 2 p.m. near Willoughby Park in the 9000 block of Willoughby Blvd. The victim was shot in the arm and took himself to the hospital, Dallas PD said.
Mesquite Police Investigate Homicide on Gross Road Following Late-Night Shooting
A fatal shooting on Gross Road has Mesquite police on the hunt for answers. The incident, which occurred late on April 27, claimed the life of 36-year-old Christopher Sye. Officers were called to the 900 block of Gross Rd. around 11:11 p.m. following reports of gunfire, upon arrival, they found Sye with a gunshot wound. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The other individual involved in the tragedy is asserting self-defense and has been cooperating with law enforcement, according to the Mesquite Police Department.
Polluting industries could be blocked from Dallas' 'Shingle Mountain' area by zoning proposal
