One of the nation's top running backs, Peny Boone , announced that he will be transferring to UCF after a short stint with Louisville.

At 6-foot-1, 242 pounds, Boone has shown the ability to be an elite playmaker out of the backfield. He signed with Maryland as a four-star prospect out of Detroit, Michigan.

Boone spent two seasons at Maryland before transferring to Toledo. In his third collegiate season, Boone had a breakout year with 1,400 rushing yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. He ranked Top 15 nationally in both categories.

Boone also showed an ability to contribute in the passing game, catching 15 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown last season. He was named the 2023 MAC Player of the Year and earned first-team All-MAC honors.

With two seasons of eligibility remaining, Boone hopes to bring a steady ground attack to Orlando, where the Knights are looking to make some noise as one of the Big 12's newest members.
