OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — While the storms weren’t considered as severe around the metro last night, there was still damage to power lines, trees and even some homes.

We spoke with one woman who says she had no idea the destruction the storm left behind until her neighbors knocked on her door.

Cyndi Naone’s garage door was ripped out and part of her roof was missing.

Damage reported after deadly storms move through Oklahoma

That is what she came out to last night after storms rolled through the southwest metro, but she said she never would have guessed the damage she saw based on the sounds she heard waiting out the storm.

“It sounded like hail and heavy wind, and then just as soon as it started, it was over,” Naone said.

As the storms started to move out of the metro, Cyndi believed her house had made it through okay. Little did she know, the damage that occurred.

“I got a knock on my door from my neighbor saying our garage door was mangled and a big gaping hole in the roof came out,” Noane said. “I couldn’t believe it.”

She had no clue what had happened, because she said it sounded just like strong winds outside.

“It was kind of surreal because it didn’t sound like what I thought it would,” Naone said.

She’s thankful no one was hurt, but didn’t want to waste anytime getting her house repaired.

“Yes, because you never know when the next storm is going to come,” Naone said. “So, I’m just going to wait on the insurance adjuster and meanwhile, we’re all good.”
