Bank manager admits stealing $209K from N.J. customer
A former bank manager of a New York-based branch admitted Thursday that he stole nearly $209,000 from a New Jersey customer by stealing his identity, federal prosecutors said. James Gomes, 43, of New York, pleaded guilty in Newark federal court to one count of wire fraud affecting a financial institution, the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of New Jersey said in a release.
