Ricky Stenhouse Jr. didn’t lose any points at North Wilkesboro Speedway since it was the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race; however, he was adamant about not losing his fight after the race. Early in the event, Kyle Busch wrecked the No. 47 car. Stenhouse proceeded to say that Richard Childress should “hold his watch” after the race, referencing when the team owner fought Busch in the past.

Well, the fight didn’t disappoint. Busch and Stenhouse confronted each other in the garage, and fists flew. Following the fight, Stenhouse talked to FOX Sports 1 and discussed the incident with Busch in the garage.

“I feel like we get along with each other okay outside the race track,” Stenhouse said. “I talk to [Kyle Busch] quite a bit. I’m not sure why he was so mad that I shoved it three-wide. But, he hit the fence and kind of came off the wall and ran into me. I don’t know, when I was talking to him he kept saying that I wrecked him. Definitely built up frustration with how he runs his mouth all the time about myself.”

“But I know he’s frustrated because he doesn’t run near as good as he used to, and I understand that. We’re a single-car team over here. We’re working really hard to go out and get better each and every weekend, and we had a really good game plan coming in. Our car was really strong Friday in practice. I was looking forward to running to the front. I think we had passed a couple cars there and I was excited for the rest of the night, and he ruined it.”

The racing itself at North Wilkesboro wasn’t great, but short-track racing produces hot tempers in the NASCAR Cup Series. Stenhouse is still frustrated with Busch, as this isn’t a one-night situation. It will be interesting to see how the two drivers race each other moving forward, with a points race coming this weekend.
