    Major College Football Program Trending For Multiple Top Prospects In 2025 Class

    Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables is trying to make a statement on the recruiting trail ahead of his first season in the SEC. The Sooners received multiple new predictions for some of the top prospects in the 2025 class recently, per On3 Sports.

    The Sooners are now trending for five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood, four-star athlete CJ Nickson , four-star linebacker Max Granville , four-star safety Omarion Robinson , and three-star lineman Darius Afalava .

    Haywood is the No. 2 offensive tackle and No. 4 prospect in Texas, per the On3 Industry Rankings . The 6-foot-5, 280-pound offensive tackle is a five-star prospect and the No. 12 overall player in the class of 2025.

    Nickson is the No. 127 overall prospect and No. 2 player in Oklahoma, according to the On3 industry rankings. He is the No. 5 ATH in the class of 2025.

    Granville and Robinson are both inside the top 30 for their respective positions. Granville's top schools are Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Baylor, and Penn State. The schools competing for Robinson are Oklahoma, Arkansas, Oregon, and Georgia.

    Afalava hails from Lehi, Utah. The schools pursuing him include Oklahoma, LSU, UCLA, and Washington.

    As of Friday, the Sooners had the sixth-best 2025 class in the SEC, with 15 verbal commits. The class is headlined by four-star prospects Ryan Fodje, Elijah Thomas, and Trystan Haynes.
