Two missing from Nixa found safe in Ohio

UPDATE 5/8/2024: The City of Nixa says two people missing since May 6 have been located several states away.

Andrew Fecko and Shannon Sturgion are safe, and were found at a family member’s home in Ohio.

NIXA, Mo. — The Nixa Police Department (NPD) has issued an Endangered Silver Advisory for a man they say left his residence without needed medication.

According to a release from the City of Nixa, NPD is searching for 62-year-old Andrew J. Fecko, who was last seen around 11:00 a.m. on May 5.

Fecko is five feet, seven inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. He has gray hair, hazel eyes and was last seen wearing a black ball cap, a black leather jacket, blue jean shorts and gray socks.

The release also states Fecko is diagnosed with major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, type 2 diabetes and COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder).

NPD is also searching for Shannon Sturgion, who was seen leaving the 1100 block of Care Avenue with Fecko. The City of Nixa says she is about five feet, six inches tall and has brown hair and blue eyes.

Fecko and Sturgion were last spotted heading toward a Casey’s gas station on Gregg Road in Nixa. Neither of them have the medications they need.
