65 people indicted out of Raleigh County

RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Grand Jury has indicted 65 people out of Raleigh County for the May 2024 term.

Those indicted face charges ranging from first-degree murder, robbery, grand larceny, forgery, shoplifting, child abuse, sexual abuse, attempted murder, and more.

The Justice Department says once the prosecutor reviews the information gathered from investigators and interviews with the individuals involved, they determine whether to bring the case before the grand jury. If a person is indicted, they receive formal notice alleging their involvement in a crime, including basic information outlining the charges against them.

An indictment doesn’t mean a person is guilty.
