SANGAMON COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) – A driver in Sangamon County was lucky to escape serious injury, the Sheriff’s Office said, after their car crashed into a tractor early Thursday morning.

The crash happened on Waverly Road at the intersection with Mansion Road, located in New Berlin Township. The Sheriff’s Office determined that a Hyundai was driving south on Waverly at high speed and approached a tractor that was pulling a field cultivator.
