Former NBA role player Austin Rivers recently went on the Pat McAfee show and dropped a massive bold take that stirred the pot in the sports world.

Rivers believes that NBA players are better-conditioned athletes and have more versatility when it comes to different sports. He said that he can grab 30 players in the NBA and put them in the NFL and they will succeed. Rivers says he can't do the same with the athletes in the NFL.

ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins took this debate a step further, naming a handful of NBA players that he believes could play in the NFL.

Perkins' list includes Jalen Suggs, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Edwards, and Marcus Smart, via ClutchPoints on X.

This hot take from Rivers led to heated exchanges on social media. It's definitely a debatable topic, but these are two sports with some of the highest class of athletes in the world.
