LeBron James is happy to see his son Bronny James figure things out about himself as he paves his way to the NBA. The Los Angeles Lakers star made that abundantly clear while talking about his eldest child in the latest episode of his podcast with JJ Redick.

At one point in the newest episode of their Mind The Game podcast, Redick asked LeBron about Bronny's answer when inquired about his current NBA comps. For those not in the know, instead of naming a star player or even his dad, Bronny named role players such as Derrick White, Jrue Holiday and Davion Mitchell as players he aspire to be like.

LeBron shared that Bronny figured it out on his own and that he had not talked to him about the player he can be in the NBA. The Lakers forward added that he loves the perspective his son has, highlighting that it just proves Bronny is a winning player.

"To see him mention guys like Derrick White, Jrue Holiday, a few other guys in our league, Marcus Smart, Davion Mitchell--these are guys who come in and, for a team that's trying to win championships, these are the players you want to have on your team," James shared.

"For Bronny to have that perspective on where he stands today, you know that's great."

Of course LeBron James didn't have the same goal as Bronny. As someone who was called the "Chosen One" coming out of high school, there was heavy expectations on his shoulder. So LeBron had these high ambitions of getting to the All-Star Game and winning MVPs.

Despite Bronny not vocalizing the same aspirations, however, the Lakers forward couldn't be any prouder of Bronny for the mindset he's showing. It's clear that Bronny knows who and what he is as a player.

"I know that's not my goal. My goal was, like, I'm trying to make it to the All-Star Game in Year 1, I want to be All-Star, I want to be MVP, I want to be all of these things. And a lot of us have those aspirations. But for Bronny to have that mindset of like, 'Listen, at this point in time in my life and in my game, I know where I stand but I know how I affect the game.' He's just a winning player and I just love his mindset," LeBron furthered.

It remains to be seen where Bronny will end up in the NBA. He's projected to be a second-round pick after having a rather nice performance at the Draft Combine. But until he gets his name called, no one knows what will happen.

There have been talks about Bronny James being drafted earlier by teams who want to lure LeBron James. But here's to hoping that the young kid gets drafted by a team who sees potential in him rather than a recruitment asset.
