Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested three people on Thursday, May 9, following a traffic stop on U.S. 1 in which a gun and drugs were reportedly found.

Deputies arrested Claireese Lanee Billie, 24, Rodolfo Molina Martinez, 21, and Danile Pascual Maritnez, 25, were arrested on various drug charges, according to Sheriff’s Office spokesman Adam Linhardt.

Deputies found a .45-caliber Glock handgun, two rounds of 5.56 ammunition, Oxycodone pills and more than 20 grams of marijuana in the BMW SUV the suspects were traveling in when they were stopped for speeding at approximately 1:45 a.m. on U.S. 1 at Mile Marker 53.

On Wednesday, May 8, Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 33-year-old Ocala woman after she reportedly attacked three people at a Big Pine Key home, Linhardt said.

Deputies arrested Heidi Mae Giurbino on three counts of battery and resisting arrest with violence, according to Linhardt. Deputies responded to a call at West Cahill Court at approximately 9 p.m. regarding a domestic battery.

The three victims — two adult males and an adult female — suffered scratches and other non-life-threatening injuries, Linhardt said. At the scene, Giurbino reportedly kicked at deputies and resisted arrest, Linhardt said.

On Tuesday, May 7, deputies arrested two Stock Island men following a Sheriff’s Office investigation into multiple marine-related GPS thefts in Monroe County, according to Linhardt.

Deputies arrested Jose Guardado Bueven, 49, and Oscar Jimeranez Madariaga, 48, on two counts of grand theft, two counts of burglary to a conveyance, possession of burglary tools, grand theft causing more than $1,000 in damage and child neglect, Linhardt said.

“The Sheriff’s Office is committed to finding and arresting anyone who commits crimes, including property thefts,” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay. “My message is clear: If you commit crimes in the Keys, you will be arrested.”

Deputies stopped both men in a 2003 Acura on U.S. 1 near Mile Marker 73 at approximately 12 a.m. There was a 4-year-old child in the vehicle, as well as burglary tools and multiple Garmin GPS units that had been reported stolen. The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified, Linhardt said.

Both men subsequently admitted to stealing the GPS units, Linhardt said. They were taken to jail.
