    Ashe County arrest reports

    The following information was provided by the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    April 29

    Timothy S. Hastings, 49, of North Wilkesboro, was charged with two counts of felony larceny, obtaining property by false pretense, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor larceny and injury to real property. Hastings is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $7,500 secured bond.

    Shawn M. Matthews, 43, of North Wilkesboro, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor larceny. Matthews was released on May 1 under a $500 secured bond.

    Tyler N. McClure-Liddle, 25, of Jefferson, was charged with simple assault. McClure-Liddle is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.

    April 30

    Dakota J. Collins, 30, of Jefferson, was charged with parole violation. Collins is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center without bond.

    Adam M. Hernandez, 31, of West Jefferson, was charged with first-degree trespassing. Hernandez is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.

    May 1

    Joey A. Ponce, 33, of West Jefferson, was charged with not paying child support. Ponce was released on May 2 under a $284.47 secured bond.

    Larry R. Tucker III, 22, of Lansing, was charged with reckless driving with wanton disregard, hit and run leaving the scene of property damage, failure to report an accident, failure to maintain lane control and no liability insurance. Tucker III is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $2,500 secured bond.

    May 2

    Hunter L. Luther, 26, of Jefferson, was charged with failure to appear on charges of driving with a revoked license, and failure to wear a seat belt. Luther was released on May 4 under a $1,500 secured bond.

    May 3

    Heather A. Myers, 30, of Lansing, was charged with driving while impaired. Myers is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center. Bond information is unavailable.

    Charles L. Ruland, 67, of West Jefferson, was charged with failure to register as a sex offender. Ruland is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $120,000 secured bond.

    May 4

    Chandra C. Rutherford, 39, of Lansing, was charged with simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license. Rutherford was released on May 5 under a $1,500 secured bond.

    May 5

    Brittany S. Phipps, 30, of Jefferson, was charged with failure to appear on charges of driving with a revoked license, canceled/revoked/suspended tag, operating a vehicle with no insurance, fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Phipps is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $9,500 secured bond.

    Chancey C. Roark, 44, of North Wilkesboro, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor larceny, simple possession of a Schedule III controlled substance and simple possession of a Schedule VI controlled substance. Roark is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center. Bond information is unavailable.
