Pride Weekend Is May 18–19 at A-Basin

When Pride Week comes along, the staff at Arapahoe Basin have a name for their event: Gay Basin.

Very clever.

It's coming up in two weeks—May 18 and 19.

The full title is Gay Basin: Ski & Ride With Pride ! There'll be live music, dancing, rail jams, après parties, and, of course, spring skiing.

The purpose is to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community in Summit County (and elsewhere).

Here's the schedule:

Saturday

• 10:30 am on-mountain Pride parade from the Summit to Black Mountain Lodge

• 11:00 am–2 pm DJ at Black Mountain Lodge

• Rail Jam—Registration, timing, and more details to be online soon!

Sunday

• 10:30 am on-mountain Pride parade from the Summit to Black Mountain Lodge

• 10:30 am–3 p.m. DJ at Black Mountain Lodge

Additional details:

• Not a skier or rider but want to join the party at mid-mountain? Foot passenger tickets are available for only $25!

• In partnership with Mountain Pride and the Pad, a portion of proceeds from all draft beer sales throughout the weekend will be donated to Mountain Pride.

• Festive attire is not required, but it is encouraged! (We do ask that guests refrain from using glitter which could end up in our watershed.)
