    Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Catch of the Week and Seeks Public Assistance in Recent Property Crime Investigations

    Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is actively engaged in investigations related to recent property crimes and is reaching out to the public for assistance. By fostering community involvement, the Sheriff’s Office aims to enhance public safety and bring those responsible for criminal activities to justice.

    Incident 1: Sometime between 4/23/24 and 4/24/24, two back-pack blowers, two weed trimmers, one weed-trimmer attachment, and a Yeti cooler were stolen from a residence on Dearmanville Dr. South in Anniston.

    Incident 2: Sometime between 4/14/24 and 4/26/24, an Xbox digital console and an air conditioning unit was stolen from a residence in the 3100 block of Mt. Gilead Rd. in the Websters Chapel community.

    On 4/23/24, deputies responded to a residence on New Prospect St. in the Choccolocco community due to an apparent accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound. The person who did that was transported to the hospital for treatment. While executing a search warrant on the residence, investigators discovered firearms, a large amount of counterfeit currency and equipment for production of counterfeit currency, suspected methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia. Sarah Edwards was arrested for Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st, Possession of a Forgery Device, Possession of Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Justin Douglas Allen was arrested for Possession of a Forged Instrument 1stand Possession of Marijuana 2nd. Charges may be issued against the injured party once he heals.
