Welp, Kim Zolciak is setting the record straight following her controversial “RIP” post that had everyone riled up including her daughter, Ariana Biermann .

As we previously reported, the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star posted a black-and-white photo of herself and her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann , with the caption “R.I.P” earlier this week, causing a stir among her followers. She encouraged them to click the link in her bio which directed everyone to an article about celebrities who passed away in 2023. But of course with a post like that, many instantly thought the worse for the former athlete. Zolciak’s daughter even shared her reaction to TikTok, saying, “I physically don’t have any f–king words.” She added, “I love you, but I just, like. … My heart, like, tugging. Like, no.”

In response to the criticism, Zolciak clarified that the post was not meant to suggest Kroy’s Biermann’s death but rather to symbolize the end of their relationship. She made that comment in an exclusive statement to WardSpeed . She explained, “So everyone in the world, it seems, is talking about my post yesterday,” she began. “Let’s be clear— at no point did I claim Kroy was dead nor did I allude to that.” The 45-year-old went on to clarify, “In fact, I used a picture of BOTH of us and said #RIP- and, frankly, the end of my relationship was like a death of sorts so #RIP to that.”

Further justifying her actions, she continued explaining, “And the story it linked to also had nothing to do with Kroy dying. The story was a tribute to many we’ve lost this past year. And yes my relationship was lost too so it seemed fitting.”

Despite the uproar, Zolciak stood her ground, emphasizing that she has “more tact and class and compassion” than what some may have assumed from the post.

“People also need to get serious,” she told the outlet. “Do you actually think if Kroy died—even with all of the issues we’ve had—my first instinct would be to go to my Instagram and post #LinkInBio with his pic and #RIP attached?” She concluded, “Anyone who knows me—including my dear fans—knows that I’d have more tact and class and compassion than that,” Kim stated.

This incident is not the first time Zolciak has faced controversy over her social media posts, as she previously hinted at her daughter Brielle’s pregnancy in a now-deleted post.

The reality star has been navigating a tumultuous period in her personal life, including financial struggles and legal issues, all while dealing with the ups and downs of her relationship with Biermann.
