The New York Knicks provided an update on Jalen Brunson after he suffered a mysterious injury during Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers.

The Knicks All-Star guard Brunson had to exit Tuesday’s game during the first quarter after coming up hobbled on a collision with Indiana’s Andrew Nembhard. The TNT announcers originally thought that Brunson had taken a shot to the groin, which was why he was gimpy.

Here is the video of the collision.

But after Brunson left the game at the 3:32 mark of the first quarter and still didn’t return several minutes into the second quarter, speculation abounded that he may have suffered a more concerning injury. Knicks beat writers also noted that Brunson appeared to be holding his hand after the collision.

The Knicks finally provided an update on Brunson late in the second quarter, revealing that it was none of the above. Instead, Brunson was deemed questionable to return because of a sore right foot.

Later, Knicks beat writers were told that the collision with Nembhard was not actually where Brunson was injured.

The Knicks were up seven points when Brunson left the game but eventually fell behind 73-63 at halftime without him. Brunson entered the game having posted four straight playoff games of 40 points or more, so needless to say, it was will be a massive loss for the Knicks if Brunson has to miss time. Knicks fans have to be cursing their luck too considering that multiple key players on the team have already been ruled out for the rest of the year with injury .

Update: Brunson returned to the game to start the second half.
