Even after scoring his career-high in points one game prior, Joel Embiid has always tended to struggle when it comes to the NBA Playoffs.

His performance during Sunday’s matchup between the New York Knicks and the Philadelphia 76ers didn’t help change that narrative, especially late in crunch time.

Embiid played all 12 minutes in the fourth, missing all five of his shot attempts and scoring only one point on a free throw attempt.

He also turned the ball four times and nearly fouled out during the process.

This performance has sent NBA Twitter (especially Knicks fans) into a frenzy, roasting Embiid all over social media.

"Joel Embiid played the entire fourth quarter of a must-win game against the opponent’s third string center and made zero (0) field goal attempts," added another.

Embiid finished with 27 points on 7-19 shooting (36%), including 1 of 6 from beyond the arc.

It's his 19th career playoff game in which he's shot under 40%.

"F Embiid chants IN HIS OWN ARENA LMAOOOOO," another Knicks fan said.

Showing up during the regular season has never been Embiid’s problem. He’s won an MVP award, and multiple scoring titles, among other accolades. But when the lights are brightest, especially in the fourth, Embiid disappears.

The Sixers (now down 3-1 in the series), take on the Knicks this Tuesday back in Madison Square Garden.
