The Phoenix Suns Are Getting Roasted For Underwhelming Head Coach Hire

The Phoenix Suns were the biggest disappointment of the 2023-24 NBA season.

A team that was loaded with superstars and was a favorite to win the NBA Championship failed to win a single playoff game.

Head coaches typically take the blame for such seismic screw-ups. Which is why it wasn't surprising that former Suns coach Frank Vogel was fired once the season ended.

Now, the Phoenix Suns have decided on their next head coach: former Milwaukee Bucks head man Mike Budenholzer.

While Budenholzer is a two-time NBA Coach of the Year and won a NBA Championship with the Bucks in 2021, his tenure in Milwaukee didn't end well.

Which is likely why fans are roasting the Suns for paying Budenholzer over $50 million for five seasons.

DraftKings Sportsbook had a hilarious reply to the initial report of Budenholzer's hiring.

"1 year from now: BREAKING NEWS: Phoenix Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer has been fired per Woj," wrote another fan.

"He’s getting fired in less than a year i’m calling it," said a third.

Clearly fans don't believe Budenholzer can fix this star-studded Suns squad.
