On Thursday, May 25, actors Vince Vaughn and Drea de Matteo could be seen on the set of the independent film “Nonnas” along 14th Street. Based on a true story, the film revolves around a man who decides to open a restaurant after his mother dies, using the inheritance he received and his mother’s Italian recipes, only hiring Italian grandmothers to do the cooking. Also on set was director Stephen Chbosky, known for films such as “Perks of Being a Wallflower”(2012) and “Wonder”(2017). Filming also occurred at Judicke's Bakery on Broadway and West 34th Street.
