25 Famous People You Didn’t Know Were From Newburgh, New York
Newburgh holds a remarkable place in Hudson Valley history. George Washington spent the final months of the Revolutionary War at headquarters in the Hasbrouck House, but the city’s story did not end with the Revolution. In the nineteenth century, its nurseries, businesses, churches, schools, and riverfront connections helped support a lively community whose influence traveled well beyond Orange County.
