Site work has begun on the commercial property across Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. The 27.5-acre property at 4800 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, which a Tennessee real estate company bought in 2023, is undergoing dirt work and other horizontal preparation before construction begins, said Ryan Pecot with Stirling Properties, which is managing the development.

A Lafayette developer is seeking two develop two subdivisions south of the city of Youngsville that will feature a combined 453 homes. Stillwater Development is seeking preliminary plat approvals from Lafayette Consolidated Government’s parish planning commission for a 240-lot development at 720 Austin Road and a 213-lot development in the 500 block of Piat Road, records show.
