Mayers, a Doylestown Township resident employed since July 2022, is now facing a second-degree murder charge. The event, initially misinterpreted as a hit-and-run, was reassessed as a deliberate attack after security footage came to light. The victim, 50-year-old Francisco Ortega, was brutally assaulted by several individuals, suffering injuries that led to his death after hospitalization. This act, believed to be spurred by road rage, has placed Mayers in the Montgomery County Correctional Facility, awaiting extradition.
