Northwest Local approves three-year contract with teachers union
KEY ACTION: Approved a contract with the Northwest Teachers’ Association. DISCUSSION: In a 4-1 vote, the Northwest Board of Education agreed to a 5% raise for each year of the three-year contract. In addition, a new salary schedule increased the annual base pay for a beginning teacher with no years of experience from $36,539 to $38,365.
