    Navarre woman arrested after driving under the influence with children in car: Arrest Report

    SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla. ( WKRG ) — A woman was arrested after she allegedly drove under the influence with children in the car, according to an arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

    33-year-old Lauren Miranda Baynard of Navarre was arrested on May 5 on a DUI charge and a child abuse charge.

    According to the arrest report, she was driving on Highway Boulevard when deputies saw her driving recklessly. Baynard allegedly initially refused to pull over when deputies attempted to stop the car she was in.

    Eventually, Baynard stopped the vehicle and deputies spoke with her, noting the smell of alcohol on her breath and her bloodshot eyes in the arrest report.

    The arrest report also said there were two “prepubescent-aged children” in the backseat of the car.

    Baynard was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail. She has since been released.
