(SAN JOSE, Calif.) A man was charged with two counts of murder in connection to the death of a pair of siblings who were killed last week as the suspect tried to elude sheriff’s deputies, KTVU reported Monday.

The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office said 18-year-old Roberto Joseph Garcia had marijuana and a firearm as he evaded authorities on April 26.

Garcia allegedly refused to stop his vehicle, ran a red light and crashed into a Toyota Camry at Lawrence Expressway near Mitty Way.

The two victims were identified as 25-year-old Precious Nievas and her brother 22-year old Philip Nievas both from San Jose. They died at the scene.

A GoFundMe page was created to raise funds to help with funeral expenses.
