    Arrests, sentencings, fire calls for May 16

    Wright County Sheriff arrests:

    • David Thompson, 40, of Minneapolis was arrested May 6 in Monticello on a charge of giving an officer a false name.

    • Branden Lemke, 32, of Monticello was arrested May 7 in Monticello on a charge of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

    • Nathan Allan Schwarzkopf, 29, of Big Lake was arrested May 7 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree DWI.

    • Asherah Yahweh, 45, of Monticello was arrested May 7 in Monticello on a charge of violation of a harassment/restraining order.

    • Samara Romano, 53, of Monticello was arrested May 8 in Monticello on a charge of violation of a domestic abuse order for protection.

    • Brandon Axel Meza, 21, of Monticello was arrested May 10 in Monticello on a charge of violation of a domestic abuse no contact order.

    • Jay Allan Shierts, 62, of Monticello was arrested May 10 in Monticello on a charge of third-degree DWI test refusal.

    • Matthew David Maras, 41, of Monticello was arrested May 11 in Monticello on a charge of domestic assault.

    • Amory Alban Dean, 37, of Kiwaten was arrested May 12 in Monticello on a Wright County warrant for domestic assault.

    Wright County Sheriff by the numbers:

    From May 6-13, there were 24 property-damage accidents, seven personal-injury accidents, three hit-and-run accidents, seven car-vs-deer accidents, seven DWI arrests, 13 for underage consumption, four school bus stop arm violations and 110 miscellaneous traffic violations reported.

    • Residential fire alarm on Spirit Hills Road at 3:01 p.m. April 29

    • Residential fire alarm on Crofoot Avenue NW at 2:21 p.m. May 1

    • Commercial fire alarm at Marshall’s on 7th Street East at 4:33 p.m. and 5:06 p.m. May 3

    • Electrical fire on Gateway Circle at 6:25 p.m. May 3

    • Gas leak on Chelsea Road at Polaris/WSI Industries at 1:58 a.m. May 4

    • Motor vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 94 near mile marker 184 at 11:53 a.m. May 5

    • Commercial fire alarm at St. Benedict’s Senior Community on 7th Street East at 1:03 p.m. May 5

    • Residential fire alarm on Gillard Avenue NE at 5:58 p.m. May 5

    Wright County Attorney’s Office court sentences:

    • Da Lante Ramel Palmer, 25, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 3 to 12 months and one day prison for probation violation for violating no-contact order within 10 years of the first of two or more convictions.

    • Chad Melvin Fobbe, 50, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 7 to 364 days jail, 354 days stayed on two-years probation, must serve 10 days, and fined $300 for gross misdemeanor domestic assault, subsequent violation.

    • Mark Andrade, 35, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 9 to stay of imposition, five-years probation, 90 days jail, and fined $300 for second-degree drug possession, 25 grams or more cocaine or methamphetamine.

    • Jason Lee Andreasen, 29, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 9 to 90 days jail, 83 days stayed on one-year probation, must serve seven days, and fined $200 for fifth-degree assault, inflict or attempt bodily harm.

    • David Chavez, 40, of Monticello, was sentenced on May 9 to commit for 36 months, stay of execution, 15-years probation, 120 days jail, and fined $1,000 for second-degree criminal sexual conduct, contact with a victim under 14 years old as a man older than 36.
