NEWBURGH- Police in Orange County are investigating a tragic accident on the Hudson River in Newburgh this holiday weekend. Detectives on the scene confirmed that two jet skiers collided in the river on Saturday afternoon just south of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Police now say that one of the individuals involved in the accident was pronounced dead.

Police in Orange County are investigating shots fired outside a school on Friday evening. It happened outside the Monhagen Middle School on County Route 78 in the Town of Wallkill. Police recovered shell casings at the scene. No one was injured, and no suspects have been found.
Woman Sentenced for First-Degree Assault in Spring Valley
SPRING VALLEY, NY – Evelyn Lopez of Spring Valley has been recently sentenced to nine years in state prison by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office. Convicted on February 8, for Assault in the First Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, Lopez received the sentencing following a three-week jury trial before Judge Larry J.
