Man Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash In Mamakating
The crash occurred in Ulster County around 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 20, in Mamakating on Mamakating Road near the intersection of Sky Top Road. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 2008 Harley Davidson, driven by Orange County resident Kevin Epstein of Pine Bush, was traveling West on Mamakating Road when he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected.
Attorney General demands Forestburgh changes discriminatory zoning law
FORESTBURGH- The State Attorney General is demanding that Forestburgh Town Supervisor Dan Houge and the town board review and make changes to Local Law 3 which the office says imposes unfair zoning restrictions on houses of worship. Specifically, the letter from the attorney general says the local law targets and discriminates against the Jewish community.

Bensalem woman crushed to death after tree lands on RV in Upper Bucks County
A 69-year-old Bensalem woman died Saturday after a large tree fell onto the RV camper she was sleeping in at an Upper Bucks campground. The Bucks County Coroner's Office identified the woman as Cynthia Cousins. An autopsy found she died as a result of head and torso injuries and the manner of death was listed as accidental.
City of Newburgh needs communications improvement, says county executive
GOSHEN – The closed-door policy of Newburgh City Manager Todd Venning has apparently extended to the Orange County Seat in Goshen. Venning, who has been city manager for three years and city comptroller before that, has refused to talk to the media and has imposed a gag order on all city employees, including department heads, delegating that role to just one person.
