Driver dies after one-vehicle crash in Frenchtown Township
FRENCHTOWN TWP. — A driver from Florida died after the pickup he was driving went off the road and through a field before crashing into a ditch. The crash was reported at 5:19 p.m. Monday, Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough said in a news release. Deputies' preliminary investigation showed Dennis E. Allen Jr., 69, of Beverly Hills, Florida, was driving a maroon 2014 Ford F-150 pickup northwest on Enrico Fermi Drive, northwest of Leroux Road, in Frenchtown Township. For unknown reasons, the pickup left the roadway to the east, traveling over railroad tracks and entering into a field. The pickup then traveled in a southeast direction, entering into a drainage ditch and coming to rest.
Delivery driver robbed of food, cash in west Toledo
TOLEDO, Ohio — A delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint in west Toledo Tuesday afternoon, police said. According to a Toledo police report, a delivery driver was dropping off food from a Mongolian restaurant in the 3900 block of Sunforest Court at approximately 12:30 p.m. Two suspects, armed with a pistol, approached the victim.
Police identify body of man pulled from Anchor Pointe Marina
JERUSALEM Twsp., Ohio (WTVG) - The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the body of a Holland man pulled from Anchor Pointe Marina in Jerusalem Township Wednesday. According to a press release from the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, the body of Troy Valentine, 62, was pulled from the water in Jerusalem Township around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Woman, 19, enters guilty pleas to charges from wrong-way OVI crash
A 19-year-old woman pleaded guilty Thursday morning to aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, and operating while under OVI suspension for a wrong-way crash Sept. 24 on the Anthony Wayne Bridge that killed the other driver. Judge Lindsay Navarre scheduled sentencing of Jewel Martinez, of the 1100 block of Halstead Street, for May 21 in Lucas County Common Pleas Court. Paul Gladieux, 30, was killed as he drove east across the bridge when Martinez’s westbound vehicle collided with his at about 2:15 a.m.

Holland man's death preliminarily ruled drowning
The preliminary ruling in the death of a Holland man recovered Wednesday afternoon from Lake Erie near Anchor Pointe Marina is drowning, according to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office. Troy J.
