Woman, 19, enters guilty pleas to charges from wrong-way OVI crash

A 19-year-old woman pleaded guilty Thursday morning to aggravated vehicular homicide, operating a vehicle under the influence of intoxicants, and operating while under OVI suspension for a wrong-way crash Sept. 24 on the Anthony Wayne Bridge that killed the other driver.

Judge Lindsay Navarre scheduled sentencing of Jewel Martinez, of the 1100 block of Halstead Street, for May 21 in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

Paul Gladieux, 30, was killed as he drove east across the bridge when Martinez’s westbound vehicle collided with his at about 2:15 a.m.
