Remains of missing Lake Havasu City woman possibly found, detectives say
LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. — The Mohave County Sheriff's Office has launched a death investigation after human remains were found in a desert area in Lake Havasu City. Officials say they received a tip Monday evening that personal items belonging to Marissa Nicole Hoffman, 33, who was reported missing on July 10, were located near London Bridge Road. The sheriff's office sent a search crew to the area Wednesday and located human remains.

Homicide – Kingman
On Thursday, July 25th, at about 3:25am, the Bullhead City Police Department arrested Melvin Leroy Grayson, 58 of Kingman on an emergency Felony Warrant for Homicide out of the Kingman Police Department. On Wednesday, July 24th, at about 6:30am, the Kingman Police Department responded to a residence in the 2200blk of Davis Avenue for a report of a person who had been shot. Officers found Patrick Eugene Benson, 31 of Kingman with a single gunshot wound to the head. Life saving measures were attempted, but Benson ultimately died on scene. Investigators learned that Grayson had shot Benson and then fled the scene. Subsequently, an emergency felony warrant was issued for his arrest. After Grayson was taken into custody in Bullhead City, detectives from the Kingman Police Department responded and took custody of him, transporting him back to Kingman. Grayson was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on the felony charges of First-Degree Murder by Domestic Violence, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon by Domestic Violence and Misconduct Involving Weapons / Prohibited Possessor. The investigation is ongoing.
