    Two homes catch fire within one hour in Minot

    MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — The Minot Fire Department was dispatched to two fires at different residences on Thursday, May 16.

    Firefighters were dispatched to 2101 3rd St NW Lot #212 at 4:36 a.m. for reports of a mobile home on fire.

    Firefighters immediately began to extinguish the fire; there was no one occupying the mobile home at the time.

    Crews from all five fire stations responded to the fire. Then, around 5:48 a.m., a second fire was reported at 527 7th Street NE.

    The Station 4 crew quickly went to the newly-reported fire.

    Upon arrival, crew members were told the house was unoccupied. They discovered heavy smoke coming from the front door/entry way, and immediately began extinguishing the fire.

    No injuries were reported in either structure fire — both fires remain under investigation.
