IGHSAU High School Girl’s Soccer Week Six Rankings
(West Des Moines, IA) – The IGHSAU has released its sixth week of the high school girl’s soccer rankings. These rankings are compiled by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union. Local teams in Class 1A feature Gilbert at #2, Des Moines Christian at #3, Nevada at #5, Underwood at #6, Panorama remains at #10, Treynorat at #11, and St. Albert rises to #13. In Class 2A, North Polk is at #2. Lewis Central is ranked at #8 and ADM is ranked at #10 while Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson is ranked at #15 for the second straight week. Perry soccer moves up after OT win, girls golf wins third straight
Boys Soccer (8-3) While the Heart of Iowa Conference has only five teams playing soccer this season, Perry can comfortably put itself at the top of the group after beating three straight teams in the league including two this past week — good enough to get the Bluejays to No. 6 in the latest Class 3A rankings.
Field events power C-M girls to fourth at Woodward-Granger
WOODWARD — A dominating night in field events helped the Colfax-Mingo girls track and field team place fourth at Woodward-Granger on Tuesday. The Tigerhawks finished 2-3 in both the shot put and discus, scored double points in both the long jump and high jump and scored 77 points in fourth of a six-team field.
