Fatal motorcycle crash victim discovered by passerby
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that happened late Friday. According to a news release, a passerby noticed a light in a ditch and when they looked closer, discovered an unresponsive male. Emergency services arrived to begin life-saving measures, but the victim died on the scene.

Charges mount as car crashes west of Ridgeway after fleeing patrol on Interstate 35
Two people face multiple charges after a car, being pursued by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, exited Interstate 35 and struck an embankment in Harrison County. Over 120 classic and modern cars registered in the 14th Annual Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Special Olympics All-Wheels Show on Saturday. A variety of cars were parked and were looked at by the public while being judged to win one of the six trophies presented in downtown Adel. Sergeant Ray Dirksen said the weather was gorgeous for a car show and thanked everyone for coming out and supporting the event. Dirksen tells Raccoon Valley Radio that all the proceeds will fund the Special Olympics Iowa non-profit organization.
