Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy responded on Friday to the reports that ESPN had banned Patrick Beverley from appearing on their network.

Beverley hosts a podcast through Barstool Sports. Following his Milwaukee Bucks’ elimination from the NBA playoffs on Thursday night, Beverley got into all sorts of trouble. He threw a ball at some fans toward the end of the loss to the Indiana Pacers. He also refused to take postgame questions from an ESPN producer because she was not a subscriber to his podcast .

ESPN responded by reportedly banning Beverley from appearing on the network as a guest.

On Friday, Portnoy responded to the reported ban by ESPN.

:Patrick Beverley and his irreverent style is always welcome all on the Barstool Sports network. We don’t believe in censorship at Barstool,” Portnoy wrote.

ESPN may be silencing Beverley, but Barstool will not.

Now Beverley will await potential discipline from the league over his ball throw at the fans.
