Yale Field Hockey Team Awards: Poppy Beales Named Player of the Year
Four players from the Yale field hockey team have been recognized with team awards for the 2023 season. Poppy Beales earned the Player of the Year Award, Tabs Collier received the Senior Award, Julia Fortier earned the Amanda Walton Award, and Luanna Summer received the Dawg Award. Beales was also a first-team All-Ivy League selection and tied for fifth in the Ivy League in goals. Collier made her Yale debut this season, Fortier demonstrated the ability to confront challenges and inspire teammates, and Summer started every game for the last three seasons. The team awards wrap up Yale's second season under head coach Melissa Gonzalez.
