Mother of shooting victim pleads for end to violence as New Haven police announce arrest
It is an emotional day for the family of a gun violence victim, as New Haven Police announce an arrest in a 2020 homicide case. Tylee Bellamy was 24 when he was shot and killed. Now Jonathan Frater, of Harford, faces several charges in his death. He is currently incarcerated in Hartford on separate charges. Frater faces murder and robbery charges, among others. Police say robbery was the motive.

New Haven County resident Patricia Curiale, age 50, of Milford, was arrested on Tuesday, June 6 after Milford Police officers responded to a report of shots fired. When officers arrived at the home on W. Main Street, they found the victim uninjured. Police said the victim had been in the backyard when they heard a car alarm go off and spotted Curiale near the car.

Ansonia News: Shooting Arrest
On May 30, 2023, the Ansonia Police Department responded to Prospect Street on a report of a disturbance where a person had a gun and a shot was fired. First responding officers met with a female and a witness who reported the father of the female’s child had come to the residence, kicked in a door then shot the female’s car twice when leaving the area. The car, unoccupied at the time, had two bullet holes, and shell casings were recovered at the scene. The male suspect was identified as Taykwan Williamson.
