Derby Town Clerk Calls For An Investigation Into Field Project Spending
DERBY – Derby Town Clerk Marc Garofalo is calling for an investigation to find out why the city doesn’t have enough money to pay for replacement signs at the renovated Leo F. Ryan Athletic Complex. “It is a question that someone needs to ask, and I’m asking it,” Garofalo said during the July 23 meeting of the Derby Board of Apportionment and Taxation. “And it is a question that needs to be answered.”
Sun Valley Glen Estates proposes road over wetlands
MONROE, CT — A developer plans to build Sun Valley Glen, an eight lot residential subdivision at 1536 and 1564 Monroe Turnpike, across from the former Stevenson Lumber property. The proposal calls for cluster housing with the homes built on smaller 1.5 acre lots, while preserving 30 percent, rather than 15 percent, of the 34-acre site as open space.
Stags Announce 2024-25 MAAC Schedule
EDISON, N.J. – The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 men's basketball season. Fairfield University will play 10 MAAC games at Leo D. Mahoney Arena as a part of its 20-game league slate. The MAAC schedule will remain at 20 games this season in the newly expanded 13-team conference. Fairfield will play a traditional home-and-home with eight league foes. Additionally, the Stags will host Canisius and Niagara but do not make the conference's "Buffalo Trip" and will travel to Saint Peter's and Siena, while neither the Peacocks nor the Saints will visit Mahoney Arena....
