Milford Man Beats Up Restaurant Employees After Being Asked To Leave, Police Say
The incident took place in New Haven County around 10:30 p.m., Saturday, May 27, at the Stonebridge Restaurant on Daniel Street in Milford. According to Milford Poice, Christopher Bier, age 34, of Milford, was dining at Stonebridge Restaurant when he was asked to leave by the security staff for inappropriate conduct towards other patrons.
Westport Eyes Cottage Community Model to Close the Affordable Housing Gap
WESTPORT – Zoning officials have proposed building cottage communities as a means to ward off private developers and boost the available affordable housing in town. At a Wednesday meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission’s Affordable Housing Subcommittee, commission Chair Danielle Dobin said groups of state-designated affordable cottages could “really make a difference” for Westport in terms of 8-30g compliance – a state statute that allows affordable housing developers to bypass local zoning laws if less than 10 percent of a municipality’s housing stock qualifies under state rules for affordability.

26-Year-Old Killed In I-95 Crash In Stamford
The crash took place in Stamford around 12:25 a.m., Thursday, June 1, on I-95 northbound in the area of Exit 8. A preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Nissan Rouge driven by Massachusetts resident Emmanuel Pierre, age 26, of Worcester left its lane of travel for an unknown reason and struck the metal beam guard rail in the right shoulder approximately a quarter of a mile north of Exit 8, state police said.
