Former Miami edge rusher Nyjalik Kelly is not wasting any time after entering the transfer portal on Tuesday.

Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported that the former Hurricane will visit UCF. Kelly showed some promise in his first season at Miami in 2022, recording four sacks and 11 total tackles as a freshman.

After his breakout freshman season, Kelly only appeared in five games due to an injury. He started three games, totaling eight tackles, one tackle for loss, and one pass breakup.

Kelly signed with the Hurricanes as a four-star prospect out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 247Sports Composite ranked him as the No. 14 defensive lineman and No. 14 prospect in the state out of high school. Kelly was ranked as the No. 90 overall prospect in the class of 2022.

Miami has lost five players to the portal, including Kelly, since the spring transfer window opened on Tuesday. Running back Trevonte' Citizen, quarterback Jacurri Brown, long snapper Justin Wood, and offensive lineman Logan Sagapolu have entered the portal this spring.

The Hurricanes reached a bowl game in the second year of the Mario Cristobal era but lost to Rutgers in the Pinstripe Bowl to end the season.
