Marquette Fourth of July parade float applications due June 1
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The Kiwanis Club of Marquette wants as many floats as possible in this year’s Fourth of July parade. The theme will celebrate Marquette’s 175th year as a city. It’s also Northern Michigan University’s 125th anniversary. Organizers said all eight living mayors of Marquette will be on a float together.
Marquette Art Tour to show off Marquette’s art scene this weekend
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - The 4th annual Marquette Art Tour is coming to town this weekend. Participants will explore the artistic side of Lake Superior’s shoreline by touring galleries and studios around Marquette. You can get a map with all the stops listed then visit as many or as few as you’d like. The event will take place instead of the city’s First Thursday series to make sure folks can access all the stops in one day.
Zonta Club of the Marquette Area holds 3rd annual Honor a Woman
MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - Women were honored Thursday in Marquette Township for their personal and professional contributions to the community. About 100 people gathered at Barrel + Beam for Zonta Club of the Marquette Area’s third annual Honor a Woman fundraiser. Club President Alex Eisenberger said guests nominated women who impacted them.
Farmers Market coming to Ishpeming this weekend
ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) - If you like homemade goods and fresh-grown produce, the new Ishpeming Farmers Market is the place for you. There will be between 18 to 20 vendors at the first market, but the Ishpeming Farmers Market coordinator Kelly Milano said she expects more as the summer goes on.

All Rolled UP focuses on specialty egg rolls with flavors such as: ‘Reuben Hood: Rolls in Tights,’ ‘Pizza be with you (and also with you!)’ and ‘I love you Shawarm’uch’. The pizza and shawarma rolls also come with vegan options.
