DWOS Team Kovacs is ‘working at the car wash’ this weekend

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WJMN) – Dancing with our Stars Marquette County Style’s Team Kovacs is working at the car wash this weekend. Each team in it is challenged to raise funds for the U.P. Hospice Foundation leading up to the competition on May 22 and 23.

Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs and her husband, Ryan will host their ‘Kar Wash/Parking Lot Party’ this Saturday, May 18 from 10 am – 2 pm in the parking lot of U.P. Home, Health & Hospice, located at 1125 W Ridge Street in Marquette. You can get your car washed for a suggested donation of $20 while jamming and dancing to tunes from the ’70s in the parking lot.

“If you are truly coming for a car wash, please come in and you’ll see some directions there, and somebody will help you out. There’s a requested donation, our suggested donation of $20 per car wash. However, please feel free to donate what you feel comfortable with or you can just come in for a party. You don’t need to bring your car and just come out and enjoy the tunes because there will be 1970s tunes because our style is the 1970s. Surgeon Barbie. This is just such a great cause. If you don’t get to see the dancing, I wish you could, because that’s really fun, entertaining, but please consider consider donating to the cause. This is really something that helps us all and will be touching all of our probably families at some point and our friends. It’s really something that we have special here and we need to keep it going.”
