I-80 Traffic Switch Begins November 9 in Jefferson County

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) reports an upcoming traffic switch on I-80 west in support of the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project in Jefferson County. The contractor will perform a major traffic switch starting at 7:00 AM on November 9, 2026. During this operation, I-80 west traffic will be shifted onto the new east bridge via a median crossover before being directed back onto existing west road. This traffic switch will facilitate demolition of the existing west bridge and construction of the new road and bridge over North Fork Redbank Creek.

3 restrictions on I-79 this weekend, and regional traffic roundup

PennDOT will institute several overnight single-lane restrictions on Interstate 79 next week as it continues work on the $46.5 million Wexford Interchange.
